Read the below information for patients and check-in or bring in complete documents to avoid any inconvenience during your visit. For more information, contact us or request an appointment.

Same Day Appointments:

Family Medical Center of Rocky Mount will make every effort to accommodate same day appointment requests; however, same day appointments are scheduled based on availability.

Arrival Times:

Arriving ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time allows adequate time for the check in process and for the nurse to complete your vitals.

If you are a first time patient, we ask that you arrive approximately thirty (30) minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete necessary paperwork.

Late Policy:

Our providers need your help staying on schedule. When scheduling an appointment, please inform the Customer Service Representative of all symptoms for which you need to be seen by the provider. This allows the representative to schedule adequate time for your appointment. If you are more than ten (10) minutes late for your appointment, you may need to reschedule.

No Show Appointment Policy:

To ensure that appointments are available for all patients, Family Medical Center requests that patients call to cancel appointments if they are unable to keep appointments. The appointment one patient failed to cancel may the appointment another patient needed. Appointments cancelled with less than two (2) hours notice may be considered as no show. Patients are allowed two (2) no show appointments within a twelve (12) month period. Patients with three (3) or more no show appointments within a twelve (12) month period are subject to discharge from the practice. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancelled/Rescheduled Appointments:

It is important that patients notify Family Medical Center as soon as they know they are unable to keep a scheduled appointment. Two hours notice is requested to allow other patients an opportunity to be seen in these open time slots. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least two (2) hours notice are not charged to the patient or counted as no show appointments. Appointments cancelled with less than two (2) hours notice are counted as no show appointments. Patients that have three (3) or more no show appointments within twelve (12) consecutive months are eligible for discharge from Family Medical Center.
